I have to admit it: I am a sucker for babies. Over this past weekend—Memorial Day—I went to visit some friends, and a newborn was in the house. I hadn’t planned on seeing the baby, so I was so surprised to get a glance at the tiny, squirming, cooing “bundle of joy.” It really was a treat to be near a person who is so innocent, adorable, and filled with the promise of tomorrow. Legendary poet Carl Sandburg was right when he mused: “A baby is God’s opinion that the world should go on.”

AnArtistsInsightHeaderSinew is another term for tendon, which is a tough band of fibrous connective tissue, joining muscles to bones. It has a gristle-like appearance and has been used for many things since ancient time, because sinew is strong and will not stretch.
