AnArtistsInsightHeaderHow to add watermarks, titles and frames to your images

Here are the steps needed to take one of your art images and make it ready to be uploaded online, using the free image editing tools available at PicMonkey. Ensure that all your images on your website and blog are saved the same way to create a similar look and feel.

Adding a watermark ensures that, as images are shared on social media platforms like Pinterest, your images are always promoting you. Add a title to help people when they wish to e-mail you saying that they are interested in one of your pieces. This will allow them to be clearly identify the item. You can also add a frame to finish off your images. See below how a few simple changes can look.

Before: Before--Bliss After: After-Bliss-with-frame-and-title

step-1

Start by uploading the image at www.picmonkey.com and making basic edits such as cropping, rotating, etc. Then you’re ready to start adding additional effects such as frames, watermarks, and captions.

Step-2

STep-3

Adding a frame: Add a simple dark or light edge to suit your tastes.

step-4

Adding a watermark: Choose a font and color to suit and place the text where it will be clearly visible without taking over the image. Ensure that the watermark is clear but subtle.

step-5

Adding a title: Choose a font and color and title the image clearly.

step-6

Saving the image: Save the image to your computer and select the size required. Resize here for online use such as blogs and websites.
